Stimulus Check Update:

The stimulus checks for Tax Max customers will be MAILED directly from the IRS to the address on their tax return. Customers can view their tax return on MyFederalCheck.com and they can see the address to where their stimulus check is being mailed. The Post Office will NOT forward these checks if they have moved. If a taxpayer needs to change their address, they can google "IRS Form 8822" and print out this form. They will need to complete it, sign it and mail it in to the IRS.

Why does the IRS website state that my check was deposited to Tax Max?

Anyone filing through a tax preparer and utilizing a bank product, the IRS mistakenly updated their systems that a direct deposit was sent. The United States government and the banks came up with a plan to mail these checks directly to the address on the 2019 tax return. If a 2019 tax return as not filed, then the IRS will mail to the address on the 2018 tax return.

Why did they decide to not sent a direct deposit?

Banking entities that work with tax preparers set up a TEMPORARY bank account that is used only to receive a deposit for a tax refund. Once the bank receives the refund, the bank account is CLOSED.

What do I need to do if I have moved and my address is not correct?

The Post Office will not forward these checks. You will need to google, “IRS FORM 8822”. You will need to print out this form, complete it, sign it and mail it to the IRS.

I am in desperate need of this money. Is there anything I can do to speed up this process?

We sympathize with everyone’s situation and wish we could intervene and assist in getting our taxpayers their money. Unfortunately, this process is being controlled by the Federal government and tax preparers have no influence on how this money is being distributed.
